We are seeking fun enthusiastic individuals to help run our sessions and support our members. Ideally you will have a background in working with adults with disabilities, and perhaps have some hidden talents or skills that can be used to run some sessions....
Do you love gardening, and would like to share this knowledge, teaching members. Do you have a brilliant way with paints and can teach an art session, incorporating educational themes, or perhaps you are a dab hand in the kitchen and can teach our members cookery skills?
Whatever you think you can bring to the role, a smiling face, happy demeanour and a great energy is an absolute must, our locations are like home from home and the atmosphere our team create is second to none.
Key duties for this role include:
Generate a monthly activity plan and run sessions as required by Team Leader - this is where your own individual skills can really help bring our activities to life, love sewing run a sewing session, great at furniture restoration wonderful let's get some furniture to restore! On a day where you aren't running the session then support the other members of the team in their plans.
Come up with ideas on a monthly basis and help to bring the group to one central session
Communication down to the team of any notices that need to be shared for future sessions ie. How members are doing in your group etc.
Ensuring our members are supported to have fun and inclusive days at James' Place.
It this sounds like a role you'd be interested in then please get in touch. Normal working hours for this role are a 35 hour week Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm, no weekends or evening work.
